RADO

bio //

Rado is a guitarist, songwriter and vocalist born in Madagascar, raised in NYC and living and playing in San Francisco.  He has been keeping busy working on his first solo album, to be released in early 2022.  The album will featuere his passion for pop, funk and jazz.  

A versatile musician, Rado was a founding member of Philly-based indie band "Fooling April", a sought after opening band for various acts in the City of Brotherly Love.  The band  played single show openers for The John Mayer Trio, Dido, Fountains of Wayne and Ari Hest, among others.  The band was also tapped to play Philadelphia's prestigious Y-100 Feztival.  Rado wrote, recorded and toured extensively with Fooling April for several years during his stint in Philly.

In California, Rado has taken up lead and rhythm guitar duties for Black Nature, MC and percussionist of the acclaimed Sierra Leone's Refugees All-Stars'.

Rado has taken up similar duties for California's premier Afro-Beat band, Albino, as well as with West African Funk crew, Wontanara Revolution.  

 

Currently he can be seen performing in SF and Bay Area heading up the groove quartet Stank Leg., and backing up several singer-songwriters, as a sought-after a sideman.  When not playing in a band setting, Rado often plays solo jazz, RnB, and bossa guitar, along with his originals around the Bay Area.
